GoTyme Bank Visa debit card: what it covers

GoTyme Bank confirms Apple Pay support across iPhone, Apple Watch, Mac, iPad and Apple Vision Pro. Local purchases, bill payments, and international online or subscription purchases (Netflix, Shopify, iTunes and similar) carry no fee and no foreign exchange markup when paid by card.

What is MoreTyme?
MoreTyme is GoTyme’s buy-now-pay-later feature, built into the app. It splits an eligible online or in-store purchase into 3 equal instalments: the first is paid at checkout, and the remaining two are deducted automatically over the following two months. There’s no interest and no monthly fee, and approval is required per purchase — GoTyme Bank describes it as everyday spending flexibility rather than a credit product. Once activated, it’s usable at over 3,000 partner stores, both online and in-store.
MoreTyme at a glance
Enter a purchase amount to see how it splits into 3 interest-free instalments.
Illustrative only — MoreTyme instalments are interest-free and fee-free provided each payment is made on time; a late payment can attract a fee and interest. Actual instalment amounts and eligibility are confirmed in the GoTyme Bank app at checkout. Not financial advice.
Why doesn’t GoTyme Bank offer a credit card?
GoTyme Bank has historically flagged plans to eventually introduce credit products, but as of this update, it has not launched a credit card in South Africa. Its current credit-adjacent offering is MoreTyme for smaller purchases and a separate Personal Loans product (via a partnership with TFG Money) for larger borrowing needs, rather than a revolving credit card facility.
GoTyme Bank also has not published a separate rewards or points programme for South African customers at the time of writing — a Go Rewards points scheme exists for GoTyme Bank in the Philippines, but this has not been confirmed on GoTyme’s official South African pages. GoTyme Bank South Africa has indicated plans to introduce a broader rewards programme in the second half of 2026; details had not been published on official channels as of this update.
