*Boosted Earn Rate requires a salary deposit into your primary African Bank account plus at least two active debit orders. Credit card rates for the Pace Car Rental 7–29 day tier, and the Standard (non-boosted) rate for rentals over 30 days, weren’t confirmed on the source we checked — see the in-app Earn Table for the current figures. Earn rate requirements, exclusions and monthly spend caps apply — always check the current Earn Table in the App or the official Terms and Conditions before relying on a specific rate.
Pace Car Rental points are earned only on the base rental value — VAT, tourism levy and extras don’t count — and the benefit is capped at one rental per month. It can’t be combined with Audacious Rewards Day double points, and non-partner rental companies (Avis, Hertz, Europcar) don’t earn points at all.
Audacious Rewards Day
On the 20th of every month, for 24 hours, African Bank doubles the standard card-usage earn rate: MyWORLD Debit Card spend earns 0.6% instead of 0.3%, and Black Credit Card spend earns 2% instead of 1%, on purchases made online or in-store outside the Grocery Benefit.
Redeeming your points
Points can be spent in the Audacious Rewards Store on airtime, data, electricity and grocery vouchers, as well as vouchers across categories including entertainment, dining, travel and education, from over 35 partner brands. As a guide to value, 5,000 points convert to R50 — a rate of roughly 100 points per Rand. E-vouchers, airtime and data purchases in the Rewards Store must be paid for entirely in points — there’s no cash top-up option for these. Merchandise purchases are different: if you’re short on points, you can top up the shortfall with your African Bank debit or credit card.
Converting points to a Tax-Free Investment
To convert points into cash inside a Tax-Free Investment Account: open the African Bank App, tap “Audacious Rewards,” select “Redeem Points,” choose “Points to Investment,” pick the number of points to convert, then tap “Order Now” — the cash value transfers instantly into your Tax-Free Investment Account. The minimum is 5,000 points (R50), with no fee charged on the conversion. This redemption can’t be cancelled or reversed once confirmed, so double-check the amount before ordering.
Members can also convert points directly to cash paid into their MyWORLD account. African Bank’s Head of Loyalty and Rewards, Nceba Hene, has described the programme’s philosophy as “points that matter” — designed so members earn and redeem simply by banking every day, without the complicated tiers or spending criteria some other rewards programmes require.
Do Audacious Rewards points expire?
Yes. Points expire 3 years from the date they were issued. African Bank says it will try to notify members in advance of points nearing expiry, so it’s worth checking the Rewards Hub in the App periodically rather than letting points build up indefinitely.
Frequently asked questions
Is Audacious Rewards free to join?
Yes — there’s no fee to join and no minimum spend required to start earning points.
What is an Audacious Rewards point worth?
Roughly R0.01, based on the published conversion of 5,000 points to R50 for Tax-Free Investment redemptions.
How long before my points expire?
Points expire 3 years from the date they were issued.
What’s the difference between the Standard and Boosted earn rate?
The Boosted rate pays significantly more back, but only unlocks once your salary is paid into your African Bank account and you have at least two active debit orders running.
Can I turn my points into cash?
Yes — points can be converted to cash paid into your MyWORLD account, or redeemed into a Tax-Free Investment Account (minimum 5,000 points).
Can I top up with cash if I don’t have enough points for a voucher?
Only for merchandise purchases. E-vouchers, airtime and data must be paid entirely in points, with no cash top-up option.

All offers above are drawn from African Bank’s live Audacious Rewards partner pages and require active Audacious Rewards membership to earn points; membership is free and activated in the App or Online Banking. “Boosted Earn Rate” partners require both a salary deposit into your primary African Bank account and at least two active debit orders — without both, only the Standard Earn Rate applies.
For context, African Bank’s Audacious Rewards network runs to over 35 partner brands. By comparison, FNB’s eBucks programme lists around 31 cash-back partners plus 21 spending partners, and Capitec’s Live Better programme has around 8 partners — useful context if you’re comparing rewards programmes across banks rather than an indication that any one programme is better overall.
How often do these offers change?
Partner offers and earn rates are updated periodically by African Bank and are governed by the Audacious Rewards Terms and Conditions (most recently updated 17 November 2025) and the accompanying FAQ (most recently updated 22 September 2025). Because partners and rates can change with notice, always check the live earn table in the App, Online Banking, or on the official Audacious Rewards page before assuming a specific rate still applies.
Frequently asked questions
Are African Bank’s card offers instant discounts?
No. Most current offers pay Audacious Rewards points back on qualifying spend rather than reducing the price at checkout, with a few exceptions like Rewards Store vouchers that are pre-discounted.
Which card earns more at partner merchants — debit or credit?
The Black Credit Card generally earns a higher percentage back than the MyWORLD Debit Card across most partners, though the exact gap varies by merchant.
How do I unlock the Boosted Earn Rate?
Have your salary paid into your primary African Bank account and maintain at least two active debit orders — both conditions are required together.
Do these offers apply automatically?
Yes, once you’re an active Audacious Rewards member — points are credited automatically on qualifying spend at partner merchants, without needing to activate each offer individually.
