Investec Offices & Branches in South Africa

How Investec’s offices work

Investec doesn’t operate a retail branch network for walk-in cash banking the way a mass-market bank does. Instead, it runs private banking offices in major South African centres, where clients meet their dedicated Private Banker by appointment for banking, lending, investment and insurance needs. Everyday transacting is handled through Investec Online, the Investec Private Client App, or the 24/7 Client Support Centre — see the Helpline page for those contact details.

South African office locations

Based on Investec’s own client contact form, its nearest-office selector lists the following South African regions: Bloemfontein, Cape Town, Durban, East London, George, Gqeberha, Johannesburg, Knysna, Mbombela, Paarl, Pietermaritzburg, Pretoria, Stellenbosch and Tyger Valley. Investec’s head office in South Africa is in Sandton, Johannesburg, with an additional presence in Mauritius on the African continent. The head office’s registered street address is 100 Grayston Drive, Sandown, Sandton, Gauteng, 2196.

Investec’s promotional line for its support centre is “When you call, we answer. 24/7.” — the Global Client Support Centre handles everyday banking assistance and queries around the clock, distinct from the general enquiries switchboard used for new-business and product questions.

One distinction worth knowing before you dial: the 24/7 number (0860 110 161) is for Private Banking — day-to-day account, card and Rewards queries. If your question is about unit trusts, discretionary portfolios or wealth management, the Wealth & Investment support desk above will get you to the right team faster than the banking line will. For direct numbers to any other regional office, see the full list on the Offices & Branches page.

Getting help through digital channels

Existing clients can manage most day-to-day banking through Investec Online or the Investec Private Client App, available on the Google Play Store, Apple App Store and Huawei AppGallery. Logging in uses your Investec ID and password, followed by device registration. For anything the app or online banking can’t resolve, the 24/7 Client Support Centre number above is the fastest route to a person.

How to escalate a complaint

Investec provides a structured online form under “Compliments, suggestions, or complaints” on its Contact Us page, where you select your division (Private Banking, Wealth & Investment, Cash Investments, Corporate and Institutional Banking, or other) and describe the issue. If you remain unsatisfied after escalating internally, Investec Private Banking is committed to the Code of Banking Practice as regulated by the National Financial Ombud Scheme (the body formerly known as the Ombudsman for Banking Services), and Investec publishes its contact details on its legal and compliance pages for unresolved banking disputes.

Frequently asked questions
